The hub caps protect the bearings from dirt. The fat stores are not places of the fat between the bearings are the hub caps with grease has no use. The court should only cap for protection while the left cap also holds the speedometer cable. The latter is quite happen that is worn around the hole so the speed cable no longer rotates.
